Music star, MTV host, talking head, fashion model and personality, radio commentator, event producer, and the namesake of her own cosmetics line in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Mel Merio is more than just an extraordinarily talented singer and performer, she is an industry in her own right! With "Domino Dancing" cracking the German charts last year, her song "Hipster Girl" scheduled for release on the biggest dance label in the US, ULTRA, she is poised to be center stage on a global scale.

With the completion of her new album, written and produced by dream team producers Larry Tee and Christopher Just, Mel is set to hit the airwaves a blaze with her sophisticated but rocking album that blends the great song sounds of the 80s with the sizzle of today's French disco, electro and rock!

A television star in her native Vienna, Mel is the name and face of a popular brand of makeup, perfumes and cosmetics called not-surprisingly, Mel Merio Cosmetics. Though a household name in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, she is also active in underground dance and performance projects. She has played alongside artists like the Scissor Sisters, Justice, Debbie Harry, Princess Superstar and The Chicks on Speed. Merio has also produced events in New York City where she performs regularly and runs parties that feature the best of up-and-coming new artists. She sang alongside Sharon Stone and Amanda Lepore on the main stage of the legendary Lifeball last year to a televised audience of millions. Now with the impending release of her "Hipster Girl" single and her debut album, her ever-expanding audience will have the opportunity to hear and see much more in the coming months.
